Description
First in a series of three, inked with Sakura pens and colored with COPIC markers on 11"x14" marker paper.
With the surge in popularity of owl tattoos, I wanted to explore the mythology behind them a bit further. I was surprised at how much I found and rather than doing one drawing, I decided upon three.
This first piece explores the owl as a symbol of life, perched on a mountain of fruit and accompanied by the greek goddess Athena. This owl represents wisdom and has brightly colored feathers emphasizing the beauty of life and creation.
